Act 49

Summary by: The Venkarel (Thanks!!)
As for what happens in this chapter (yep, a summary), well it's titled "Rain," so guess what, it's raining the whole time. Actually, Kazuma is soaked wet as he returns home, so the first thing he does is take a shower. I don't know if he was careless because he didn't think anyone was at home, or if it was just one of those plot devices, but Tsubasa ends up walking in on him in his birthday suit. Frankly, he's more upset about it than she is. While he's all embarassed afterwards, she wishes he would just get over it and distracts him with talk about food.
They go back to their comfortable relationship, and when it turns out that their parents won't be coming home, they play together (games, karaoke, dance dance revolution) until they end up dozing off. Kazuma wakes up Tsubasa and suggests that they go to their rooms. Tsubasa says sleepily, "Kazuma-chan's room?" Of course, Kazuma gets flustered and takes her to her room, tucking her in. As he leaves, he thinks she looks like a sleeping princess (or is it Sleeping Beauty?).
The next day (Sunday), the rain continues, putting a damper on their plan to go to the amusement park. On top of that, Kazuma's band buddies swing by, wanting Kazuma to go with them to the mountains. (In the rain? Yes, they're nuts.) Tsubasa doesn't seem to get along with them. She gives them a feral glare and actually scratches Martin when he teases her. Kazuma explains that she's just mad because the rain interfered with her plans and having them (the scary guys) show up all of a sudden...
Anyhow, they both end up going with the guys to the mountains, where they proceed to have a miserable time as Atsuya (short dark hair) refuses to admit that it was a bad idea. Finally, they pile back into the car and go back to Kazuma's house, where they proceed to tease Kazuma some more, reminiscing about the first time they met him. Tsubasa has been silent the whole trip, looking like a doll. (It's very cute to see her sitting in Kazuma's lap while he's drying her hair.) It turns out that she's really shy around strangers. She takes off the moment they get home.
All the guys think that Kazuma and Tsubasa are romantically involved. Kazuma denies it, saying that everyone thinks that, but that they're just siblings. The guys stare at him and Atsuya shakes him, asking if he doesn't see the love in Tsubasa's eyes when she says "Kazuma-chan *heart*" and yelling that he's like a two-year- old. Kazuma says that he thinks that everything they see is impure(?) Maybe that's true--or maybe Kazuma is too pure to understand what they're saying.
Kazuma catches up with Tsubasa, who looks like she's sitting on the floor in her nightie. I think he's trying to tell her not to be so shy with others--that as siblings, there's no way they can be together forever--basically, she's got to learn how to be comfortable with others.
Tsubasa says that she doesn't plan on marrying anyone and if Kazuma doesn't either, they then can be together forever. (At least that's what I think she said.) She gives him a big hug, leaving him a little disturbed. I think some feelings are stirring in him, the realization that he also wants to stay by Tsubasa's side forever.
To be continued.......
